Sachin Tendulkar retires from ODI Cricket

NEW DELHI: One of the game's all-time greats,Sachin Tendulkar, on Sunday announced his retirement from one-day cricket, bringing to an end a glorious 23-year-old career in the format during which he rewrote numerous batting records.

"I have decided to retire from the One-Day format of the game. I feel blessed to have fulfilled the dream of being part of a World Cup winingIndian team. The preparatory process to defend the World Cup in 2015 should begin early and in right earnest," the 39-year-old said in a statement released by the BCCI today.

"I would like to wish the team all the very best for the future. I am eternally grateful to all my well wishers for their unconditional support and love over the years," he added. Read more about Sachin Tendulkar retires from ODI Cricket

Polo Tournament Started in Chitral

Chitral— Muzafar Ali Khan Memorial Polo Tournament kicked off here in Chitral. President All Pakistan Muslim League, Chitral Shahzada Pervez— who is also supporting the tournament financially— was the chief guest on the occasion of inaugural ceremony.

27 Polo teams will participate in the tournament which has been put together in the memory of late Muzafar Ali, a veteran polo player from the region. He was born in 1923 and passed away in June this year. He is considered one of the greatest players the free-style polo has ever created.

Incredible Chelsea Wins UEFA Champions League Final

Germany—Chelsea, against all the odds, has won the Champions League Final.  Allianz Stadium was roaring with noise of the Chelsea Fans when their team won against Bayern Munich. 

This was perhaps what Ibrahimovic was pouring money for, Chelsea has won earned one of the Planet's most prestigious cups. Chelsea has become the Firth English Team to hoist the Champions League Trophy.
